Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar is a 4-star all-inclusive resort on Zanzibar’s north-west coast, close to Nungwi. Its tropical gardens are home to established baobab trees, while the restaurant, swimming pool and pool bar all face the beach and Indian Ocean.

The property has 105 rooms arranged across the gardens. Swahili-influenced design appears throughout the accommodation, with room categories ranging from compact Garden Rooms to larger Junior Suites and rooms with partial or full sea views.

The beach is less affected by tidal changes than many parts of Zanzibar, making swimming possible throughout much of the day. Guests also have access to a freshwater pool, daily activities and evening shows held in the resort’s amphitheatre.

Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar has 105 rooms arranged throughout its tropical gardens. Accommodation combines Swahili-influenced styling with practical facilities such as mosquito-netted beds, individually controlled air conditioning, an in-room safe and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Garden Rooms measure approximately 25 square metres and offer either a king-size bed or twin beds.

Baobab Garden Rooms provide around 27 square metres of space and are positioned among the resort’s gardens.

Superior Rooms measure approximately 38 square metres and have a king-size bed. Twin beds are not available in this category.

Garden Junior Suites are the largest option at approximately 45 square metres. They include a king-size bed or twin beds, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Beach Junior Suites measure around 32 square metres and offer lateral sea views. They include a king-size bed, refrigerator and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Garden Sea View Rooms provide partial or full views towards the ocean, while individual Cottages offer a more private position within the gardens.

The Beach Gallery is the resort’s main restaurant, with seating for approximately 220 guests and views across the beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style, combining local, international and Mediterranean dishes. Weekly themed evenings include an African dinner, and the dress code is casual.

The Pool Bar is positioned at the centre of the resort. Its selection includes soft drinks, fruit juices, local beer, cocktails, spirits, selected wines, tea and coffee.

Sweet and savoury snacks are served between the principal meals. Selected drinks are included until midnight, while premium-brand spirits and any drinks ordered after midnight are charged separately.
