Mozambique is a fascinating and unique destination, still relatively untouched by mass tourism, with treasures waiting to be discovered. Offering the best of East Africa's stunning landscapes and Southern Africa's laid-back charm, it combines these two worlds into an unforgettable experience.

About Mozambique
Mozambique offers an adventurous spirit, warm and welcoming people, and a variety of activities like diving and safaris. Home to over 25 million people and covering an area of 800,000 square kilometres, it's one of the most populous nations in the region, second only to South Africa. Your journey often begins in the vibrant capital, Maputo, a city filled with rich culture and history.
Mozambique's diverse landscape includes the stunning Bazaruto Archipelago. Begin your journey in Vilanculos, a small port town that feels like a hidden paradise, surrounded by crystal-clear ocean waters and white sand beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. Historically a stopover on the Spice Route, Mozambique retains an air of exoticism and intimacy — its finest lodges make for a perfect romantic beach retreat, or a final stop after a Southern African safari. Explore the Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos, renowned for their incredible diving and snorkelling.
The country's diverse regions offer distinct experiences, from the more developed south around Maputo to the unspoiled wilderness of the north. With over 2,500 kilometres of coastline, expect everything from vibrant urban life to pristine natural reserves — snorkel among coral reefs, fish, sharks, and turtles, or head inland to the wild savannahs of the Niassa Nature Reserve, home to elephants, antelopes, and leopards.
In Maputo, take a cultural tour to the famous train station and the Tunduru botanical garden, established in 1885, then explore the city's lively markets and colonial architecture — a blend of Portuguese traditions, African hospitality, and culinary influences from India, Europe, and Africa. In the north, traditional communities like the Makuas and Makonde still practise ancient customs.
Along the coast, Wimbe Beach offers golden sands and emerald-blue waters with swimming, diving, and dolphin-watching nearby, while Benguerra Island in the Bazaruto Archipelago is an isolated paradise of white sand and turquoise lagoons, home to tropical fish, dugongs, and dolphins. Further south, Inhambane's preserved beaches and colourful town are home to one of the largest dhow fleets in East Africa, with historical structures to explore and a peaceful harbour walk to enjoy —
