Kenya, located in Eastern Africa, is well renowned for its wildlife reserves and parks, as well as its beautiful beaches on the Indian Ocean. As a result, it is a top destination for those seeking both adventure in the heart of the savannah and relaxation on a white sand beach. Kenya offers an ideal blend of nature, culture, and adventure.
First, there are the people. It's always a pleasure to meet Kenyans — welcoming, and always ready with a smile. It is also possible to discover fascinating and distinct cultures. You can meet the Maasai, a symbol of the country, and sharing their activities or attending a ceremony will transport you to a different world. By deviating from the usual tourist paths, you'll discover other wonders — on Lamu Island, for instance, you can explore the Swahili people's rich history, its narrow alleys and flowered arcades making the site truly captivating.
The cities are also naturally fascinating. Mombasa and Nairobi, in particular, provide opportunities to immerse yourself in local life and uncover architectural gems, such as Nairobi's All Saints Cathedral. Along the coastline, enjoy stunning beaches like Diani Beach, which stretches for miles along the edge of a crystal-clear lagoon.
For those planning their next adventure, Quintrip's travel specialists are here to help you make the most of everything Kenya has to offer, for a trip filled with unforgettable memories.

About Kenya
Many have praised Kenya's beauty, from Karen Blixen to Ernest Hemingway. A trip here offers the chance to relive legendary scenes from Out of Africa, meet the proud Maasai people, and see giraffes, elephants, and zebras in their natural habitat — alongside the Indian Ocean's shores, the Rift Valley, the Laikipia Plateau, and countless other wonders waiting to be discovered in this land of legends.
Kenya is the birthplace of the modern safari, and remains a favourite for good reason: fly into the most remote areas of the Masai Mara, or take a road trip through the country's national parks. Whether by vehicle, on foot, by boat, bike, or horseback, the adventure is yours — and Kenya's parks host the iconic Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. The Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the great migration of wildebeest and zebras, is one of the most unforgettable natural spectacles on the planet.
Beyond the Mara, explore Amboseli with its views of Kilimanjaro, Tsavo, Lake Nakuru — home to flocks of pink flamingos — and the reserves of Buffalo Springs and Shaba. Kenya's landscapes stretch from Thomsons Falls to Mount Kenya and the cliffs of Hell's Gate, while the Lake Victoria region marks the source of the Nile. In Nairobi, Kenya's largest city, you'll find rhinos, giraffes, and zebras within the only capital in the world with a national park inside it.
After a safari filled with excitement, unwind on Diani Beach or along Kenya's white sand coastline, stretching over 500 kilometres and bathed in turquoise waters.
Kenya enjoys an equatorial climate, with average temperatures between 20°C and 26°C depending on the region, and two seasons — a dry season from December to March, and a monsoon season from July to September. Our favourite month to visit is October, when the weather is ideal and wildlife abundant in the reserves —
our Kenya travel guide covers everything you need to plan your trip.
