Property Overview

Reef & Beach Resort occupies more than 600 metres of seafront on Zanzibar’s quieter southeast coast, between Jambiani and Makunduchi. The property spreads from the shoreline through tropical gardens and a mangrove area, with a wooden bridge connecting its different sections. Accommodation ranges from traditional bungalows to suites and newer swim-up rooms overlooking the gardens, pools or ocean.

Several swimming pools are available across the resort, including a children’s pool and a large pool beside the mangroves. A 300-metre sun terrace extends along the coast, while the Jetty Bar provides another place to relax above the Indian Ocean.

Facilities include restaurants and bars, a spa and gym, a children’s play area, an outdoor games room and a PADI dive centre. A daily entertainment programme adds organised activities during the day and evening without making the resort entirely dependent on scheduled entertainment.

Rooms

The resort offers a broad choice of air-conditioned rooms, suites and bungalows. Standard Rooms are situated on the ground or first floor and have partial pool views, while Suite Rooms Ocean View overlook the pool towards the ocean. Family Rooms Ocean View provide additional space for families.

Suite Rooms Mangrove/Pool View and Family Rooms Mangrove/Pool View are set closer to the resort’s larger pools and mangrove section. Garden Bungalows face the landscaped grounds, while Ocean Bungalows are positioned towards the seafront. The oceanfront Villa includes a bedroom, living area and private patio.

More recent accommodation includes Garden Rooms and Ocean Front Rooms, along with Garden Swim-Up and Ocean Front Swim-Up Rooms offering direct access to a shared pool.
