Azura Benguerra Island is located within the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park and was the first eco-friendly resort established in Mozambique. Its 20 villas were built by the local community, and the property continues to operate in partnership with island residents. Each villa sits close to the beach and includes a private pool, while Mozambican butler-hosts provide personalised assistance throughout the stay.

Benguerra Island lies approximately 14 kilometres north-east of Vilanculos. The nearest airport is Vilanculos International Airport, followed by a scenic helicopter transfer of approximately eight minutes to the island.

Azura operates a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre equipped with Scubapro equipment and offering courses for beginners and experienced divers.
