Property Overview

Thulhagiri Island Resort & Spa occupies a small island in North Malé Atoll, surrounded by a broad white-sand beach and dense palm vegetation. Its compact layout keeps the accommodation and main facilities within easy walking distance, while the house reef provides direct access to snorkelling and diving.

The resort has 50 Beach Bungalows, 17 Water Bungalows and 20 Superior Water Bungalows. Facilities include an infinity pool, main restaurant, two bars, a spa, fitness centre, watersports centre and dive centre. Weekly entertainment may feature live music, dancing, crab racing and local performances.

How far is the nearest beach?

The resort is surrounded by white sand, and its Beach Bungalows provide direct access to the shore. Guests staying in the overwater accommodation can also reach the island’s beach within a short walk.

Distance from Airport

Thulhagiri Island Resort & Spa is approximately 13 kilometres from Velana International Airport. The speedboat transfer takes around 20 minutes.

Rooms

The resort offers three accommodation categories:

● Standard Deluxe Beach Bungalows measure 53 square metres and accommodate up to three guests. Each has a king-size bed, sea view, direct beach access and a large bathroom with a bathtub and separate open-air shower.

● Water Bungalows measure 56 square metres and are built above the lagoon. They include a king-size bed, veranda and bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower.

● Superior Water Bungalows offer 78 square metres of space, an indoor and outdoor shower, sunbeds and direct access to the house reef.

All categories include air conditioning, satellite television, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-fridge and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Food & Drink

Dining is centred around the resort’s main restaurant and two bars:

● The Main Restaurant has a sand floor and serves buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with international and local dishes. Dietary requirements can be accommodated on request.

● The Sand Bar serves wines, draught beer, cocktails and other refreshments in a casual setting.

● The Beach Bar is positioned beside the sunset beach and offers drinks with views across the Indian Ocean.

The house reef gives snorkellers and divers access to marine life directly around the island. The dive centre offers boat trips, introductory dives and advanced courses, while the watersports centre provides motorised and non-motorised activities.

Excursions include island hopping, snorkelling safaris, sunset fishing and dolphin-watching cruises. On land, guests can use the fitness centre or take part in volleyball, beach soccer, table tennis, darts, chess and carrom. An infinity pool, library and boutique shop are also available.
