Royal Beach Hotel & Spa is a four-star resort on Madirokely Beach, a short walk from Ambatoloaka. Palm trees, ravinala and other plants found in Madagascar fill the grounds, which contain two swimming pools, including one with a children’s section. The property also offers a private beach area, two restaurants, three bars, a spa and facilities for sports and fitness.

How far is the nearest beach?

The hotel stands directly beside Madirokely Beach and provides immediate access to its private section of white sand. Sun loungers, beach beds and umbrellas are available, while towels and outdoor showers are also provided. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be used to explore the bay.

Fascene Airport is approximately 21 kilometres from the hotel. The journey usually takes around 30 minutes by road, although travel time varies according to traffic. The hotel can arrange individual, group or private transfers using air-conditioned vehicles.

Deluxe Rooms measure 47 square metres and accommodate up to three guests, while Superior Rooms cover 44 square metres and sleep two. The 88-square-metre Suites accommodate up to four guests and add a lounge area, bathtub and large furnished terrace. Adapted rooms and wheelchairs are available on request.

Le Nautile is the main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a selection of Malagasy, Western and vegetarian dishes. Sunset View offers an à la carte snack menu at lunchtime, with set dining programmes organised on selected evenings.

Drinks are served at the Lounge Bar, Sunset View Bar and Pool Bar. Guests can also order from the restaurant menu through 24-hour room service, with a reduced snack selection available after 23:00.

The hotel’s excursion partner arranges full-day tours around the Nosy Be archipelago. The Three Islands itinerary combines Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely and Nosy Sakatia, while Nosy Iranja is known for the tidal sandbank linking its two islands. The Nosy Be Island Tour visits Hell-Ville market, an ylang-ylang distillery and Mont Passot at sunset.
