Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius is a five-star beachfront resort set within a large private estate beside the protected marine park of Turtle Bay. Its 25-hectare grounds include gardens, rivers, waterfalls and the historic Ruins of Balaclava, an 18th-century national monument.

The resort has 272 rooms, suites and a villa, along with two large swimming pools, seven restaurants and five bars. The Maritim Tropical Flower Spa, a nine-hole golf course and an extensive programme of land and water activities make it particularly well suited to travellers who enjoy having plenty to do without leaving the property.

The resort’s 272 air-conditioned rooms, suites and villa face the sea, gardens or river. Accommodation ranges from Classic Rooms and Deluxe Garden View Rooms to sea-facing categories, family suites and pool suites.

Rooms include Wi-Fi, a minibar, an electronic safe and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Higher categories add more space and selected extras, while the two-bedroom pool suite provides its own private pool. This range gives couples and families several practical options according to their preferred view, layout and level of comfort.

Dining is spread across seven restaurants and five bars. Belle Vue is the main buffet restaurant, while La Marée serves Mediterranean dishes beside the beach. Le Banyan specialises in Asian fusion cuisine, and Les Filaos offers casual beach barbecues and pizza.

Anno 1743 occupies part of the historic Ruins of Balaclava and serves brasserie-style dishes and grilled specialities. Château Mon Désir is the resort’s fine-dining restaurant, while Lakaz Kreol presents a traditional seven-course menu. There is a particularly broad choice of activities across the estate and lagoon. Water-based options include water skiing, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding and glass-bottom boat trips. An on-site PADI diving centre is also available at an additional charge.

On land, guests can use the air-conditioned Technogym fitness room, floodlit tennis court, archery facilities, jogging paths and nine-hole golf course. Yoga, Pilates and beach volleyball are also offered. Horse riding takes place around the estate or along the beach and is available at an extra cost.

The Maritim Tropical Flower Spa is located within the resort’s gardens and provides massages, beauty rituals and Ayurveda treatments. Its facilities include individual treatment rooms, two Ayurveda cabins and a private spa garden suite with a whirlpool.
