Property Overview

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a 72-room property overlooking bushveld and a wildlife-rich waterhole on the edge of Zambezi National Park. Its multi-level, open-plan design places the waterhole and sunset views at the centre of the experience, with private balconies extending this outlook to every room. A two-tier swimming pool, restaurants, bar, fitness centre and activity desk support the stay. Guests also have access to the dedicated Safari Spa elsewhere on the estate.

Distance from Victoria Falls National Park

Victoria Falls Rainforest is approximately 4 km from the lodge, normally around five to ten minutes away by road. A complimentary scheduled shuttle connects guests with the Falls, Victoria Falls town and local craft markets, reducing the need to arrange separate transport for every outing. The lodge’s bushveld position therefore feels removed from the town while keeping the destination’s headline attraction close. Guided Falls visits and other excursions can also be arranged through the activity desk.

Distance from Airport

Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) is the relevant international arrival point for travellers coming from South Africa. The airport transfer to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge takes approximately 20 minutes by road, with no domestic flight, boat or secondary connection required after landing. The straightforward arrival makes the property practical for shorter Victoria Falls stays as well as wider regional itineraries. Airport transfers can be arranged separately through the estate.

Rooms

The 72-room inventory comprises 24 Standard Rooms, 42 Waterhole Facing Rooms and six Waterhole Facing Suites. Every room has a private balcony, while most face the surrounding bushveld or waterhole, where wildlife can gather throughout the day. Rooms include air conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and Wi-Fi, while the six suites add bathtubs and greater space. Selected room types can accommodate a third guest, and the suites can sleep up to four.

Food & Drink

MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant provides the lodge’s principal dining experience, combining local ingredients and international influences with views over the floodlit waterhole. Buffalo Bar adds a more relaxed open-air setting for meals, drinks and sunset watching. Guests can also visit The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show elsewhere on the estate for a four-course dinner accompanied by traditional performance and interactive drumming. This creates useful variety without turning the lodge into a large multi-restaurant resort.

Experiences & Activities

Wildlife and Victoria Falls activities form the core of the experience programme. Guided Falls visits, game drives, Zambezi cruises and cultural excursions can be arranged through the lodge, while on-site options include nature trails, birdwatching and the Vulture Culture conservation experience. The waterhole itself provides regular wildlife viewing directly from the property. The Boma adds Zimbabwean food, dance, music and drumming, giving the stay a cultural dimension alongside the natural attractions.

Victoria Falls Safari Spa is located about a three-minute walk from the main lodge and is available to guests across the estate. Half- and full-day wellness programmes can also be arranged. A separate fitness centre overlooking the bush adds an active option alongside the lodge’s two-tier swimming pool.
