The journey takes only a few minutes by road, while guests who prefer to walk should allow roughly half an hour depending on pace and conditions. A complimentary town shuttle operates twice daily, and excursions to the Falls can also be arranged through the lodge. This keeps the main attraction accessible without placing guests in the busier centre of town.

Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) is the relevant arrival point for travellers flying in from South Africa. Batonka Guest Lodge is around 20 minutes from the airport by road, with no domestic flight, boat transfer or further connection required after landing. Transfers can be arranged in advance through the lodge. The relatively simple arrival works well for a short Victoria Falls stay or as the beginning or end of a wider Zimbabwe and regional itinerary.
