Property Overview

Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection is an intimate private-island resort in Noonu Atoll with only 50 villas. Twenty sit within the island's tropical greenery beside the beach, while 30 extend over the lagoon, and most of the overall inventory includes a private pool. The small scale is complemented by two restaurants, two bars, a spa, diving and water sports rather than an extensive large-resort setup. Its emphasis is on space, privacy and a quieter island atmosphere.

How far is the nearest beach?

The beach is directly accessible within the resort, with 20 villas positioned on the island among tropical vegetation close to the sand. The remaining 30 villas sit above the lagoon and provide direct access to the surrounding water. A house reef begins immediately off the shore, allowing guests to snorkel without taking a boat excursion. Beach, lagoon and reef access are therefore integral to the stay rather than facilities reached elsewhere.

Distance from Airport

Noku Maldives is reached from Velana International Airport by seaplane, with the journey taking approximately 45 minutes. Seaplane transfers operate during daylight hours and need to be coordinated with international arrival details before travel. MLE is therefore the international arrival airport for travellers coming from South Africa before continuing north to Noonu Atoll. The resort can alternatively be accessed through Maafaru, but the direct Malé seaplane routing provides the relevant airport-to-resort connection for Quintrip.

Rooms

The resort has just 50 villas, divided between 20 beachfront and 30 overwater options. Villas range from approximately 175 to 400 square metres, making even the entry accommodation unusually spacious, while most villas include private pools. Generous sundecks, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and ocean views feature across the collection, with direct lagoon access in the overwater categories. Dining centres on two restaurants and two bars, a relatively focused selection that reflects the resort's small size. Palms sits beside the beach and combines international dishes with Maldivian seafood, while Thari draws on regional flavours from the Maldives, India and Sri Lanka. Palms Bar and Thari Bar provide beachfront and poolside settings for drinks, and 24-hour room service extends the dining options beyond the restaurants. Local ingredients and Maldivian flavours feature prominently across the food programme.

The house reef begins close to shore and gives guests direct access to marine life including reef sharks, rays and sea turtles. A dive centre supports exploration of 34 nearby dive sites, while snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, jet skiing, catamaran sailing and fishing add further ways to experience the surrounding waters. Cultural activities provide a different perspective through traditional fishing, Maldivian storytelling and the resort's Maldivian House.
