Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay is an all-villa beachfront resort spread across 14 hectares of oceanfront gardens, with 147 villas and nine Residence Villas. Its layout takes inspiration from a traditional Balinese village, with thatched-roof pavilions, private courtyards and more than 300 shrines throughout the grounds. How far is the nearest beach?

The resort sits directly on Jimbaran Bay, with the beach reached from the grounds without crossing a road or arranging transport. Coconut Grove provides a dedicated beachfront retreat with daybeds and non-motorised water sports, while Sundara Beach Club places dining and a long oceanfront pool beside the sand. The bay is known for relatively calm water compared with some of Bali’s surf-oriented beaches. Beach access is therefore a central part of the resort experience rather than an off-site excursion.

Distance from Airport

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the relevant arrival airport for travellers flying into Bali from South Africa. Four Seasons places the resort around 20 minutes from the airport by road, although traffic can extend the journey at busy times. No domestic flight, ferry or other onward connection is required. The short transfer is particularly convenient for travellers who want to move quickly from an international arrival into a full beachfront resort stay.

All 156 accommodations are villas or residences, and even the base Jimbaran Bay and Garden Villas provide around 180 sqm of indoor and outdoor space with private pools and enclosed gardens. Nine Residence Villas are designed for larger families or groups, with up to four bedrooms. This consistency of private-pool accommodation is one of the clearest differences between this resort and conventional luxury hotels.
